The fundraising group organises events and activities such as the recent Ceilidh, Car Boot Sale and the upcoming Summer Fair (30 May). As well as bringing the school community together to have fun, the money raised allows us to improve the school experience for all of the children. It achieves this through the efforts of a team of volunteers who help organise these events. This is where you come in…

Edinburgh City Council are conducting a survey concerning school holiday dates and are keen to hear from as many parents and carers as possible. If you have a couple of minutes spare, please let them have your views.

Great news for 2014 – buying your Christmas presents using Easy Fundraising helped raise £314 in Q4 2014 compared to £225 in 2013. Keep up the fantastic work – and keep spreading the news!

Annual South Morningside Ceilidh

We are fortunate to have the exciting and dynamic ceilidh band Bon Stovi.

A fun, school fundraiser for all the family.

Napier University have applied to have a licensed bar adjacent to the new Boroughmuir High School.  Parent feedback stalled the planning application with an agreement that alcohol would only be sold after school hours. However, Napier have hired top firm Anderson Strathearn to push through an amendment that would allow drinking from 2.00pm onwards.

The decisions that are made now about the new school will shape the environment our children are educated in for many years to come. We would urge you to sign the petition against this change:

Time is of the essence, as the proposal will be discussed on Monday 24^th November.

The fair will continue last year’s craft theme, and this year we have events to cater for all ages at the school. However, your help is needed to make it a success!
