We rehearse between 1.00pm-4.00pm
Our club is available to P6 & P7
Only children attending an after school club are allowed in the school building after 12:20pm on a Friday and are only permitted in the allocated Club room. Children must be signed in and out by the After School Care Club person on door duty OR by the individual club alternative. Parents/carers should drop & collect children outside the school’s main door and not accompany children in to the school.

Tutor Name: SJM CREATIVE is the company who produce the stage club production each year (Directors are Stephen Martin and Hannah Ferrier-Baker)
Allocation of spaces: This is an extremely popular club and applications hugely outnumber the 70 spaces available. Names are pulled out of the hat. Every effort is made to offer every child the opportunity to take part in stage club over either P6/P7.
Club Convenor’s children are always given a priority place in the club. Please contact the Club Convenor should you wish to take advantage of this privilege by offering to take on this position in future.
Cost: £130.00 for 2 terms including costumes
A child’s space is not guaranteed until payment is received. All payment is due PRIOR to clubs starting. Failure to do so could result in your child not being admitted in to the club.
Cheques are to be written to SMPC, envelopes marked ‘Stage Club’ & posted in the Clubs Box by the Janitor’s Office (Main School).
Parent Volunteers required: YES – we send out information of all duties and dates to all parents and we put together a rota.
All parent volunteers must be PVG registered with the SMPC. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for further details if you are not already registered with South Morningside Parent Council.
Refunds: Very occasionally classes need to be cancelled (e.g. instructor sickness). SMPC policy is that refunds will only be given in exceptional circumstances at the individual club’s discretion as offering refunds when this happens involves a lot of work for relatively small amounts of money. If, after accepting & paying for a place, your child subsequently does not take the place / drops out / changes their mind, a refund will not be given.
Parents are kindly reminded that SMPC Clubs only operate thanks to a school parent who volunteers to act as Club Convenor & run the administrative side of the club. Parents are requested to respect the efforts of each Club Convenor.
